How (and why) to network on-line

Why should you network?

If you have the sort of business where customers beat a path to your door without you needing to do much you may not need to network.

If you’re not in that category, and you don’t have an unlimited advertising budget you need to network.

You can network face to face but that is time consuming, can be very expensive, and too often very unproductive.

Networking on-line is quick, free and VERY productive!

All you have to do is:

Show up.

Show up and be interested in other people.

Show up to ask for help.

Show up to give help.

Show up and ask questions.

Show up and answer questions.

Show up regularly, not just when you want something.

Show up to celebrate.

Show up to commiserate.

Show up to listen, not just to talk.

Show up and share what’s happening.

Show up and have fun.

Show up and have conversations with members of your tribe*.

Just show up.

You want to be missed the day you *don’t* show up?

First you have to show up!

* Your tribe members share your values, they’ve got your back, they do things for you because they can, not because they expect anything in return. They respect each other and their differences. Most of all, they’re fun to be with.
